An enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher is required for a permanent part-time position at an Outstanding girls' school in Harrow, commencing in September. Responsibilities

  • You will plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons, fostering creativity and technical proficiency in areas such as product design, engineering principles, and digital design.
  • The role involves guiding students through the design process, from initial concept to final prototype, utilising a range of materials and technologies.
  • You will cultivate a safe and stimulating workshop environment where students feel empowered to experiment, innovate, and develop practical skills for the future.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology is essential.
  • Experience teaching engaging and effective D&T lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and health and safety regulations is expected.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong workshop management, are vital.
