We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction and delivery of a new build retail unit in Harwich. This is a temporary role for approximately 3 months, with a possible 6 months thereafter if our client win the second phase. This isideal for a motivated professional with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing retail or commercial build projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.

Monitor progress against programme and address any issues proactively.

Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards.

Maintain clear communication with the project team, client representatives, and stakeholders.

Oversee site documentation, including permits, risk assessments, and progress reports.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Site Manager on retail or commercial new build projects.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, H&S legislation, and site management best practice.

Valid SMSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid at Work certification.

Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lead teams and maintain strong client relationships.
