HRGO Recruitment are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operative to join our client's production team in Hastings. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, working as part of a team, and contributing to a quality-driven manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Main Duties:

  • Operating production machinery and extruders in line with work instructions and procedures
  • Working as part of a team to meet production targets and quality standards
  • Carrying out basic machine set-ups and assisting with changeovers for new works orders
  • Monitoring production and reporting any faults or issues to the Technician or Team Leader
  • Ensuring machinery is operated safely and kept clean and well maintained
  • Completing production records and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Transferring finished goods to the warehouse and ensuring raw materials are correctly received and allocated
  • Supporting quality, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
  • Assisting with trials and additional tasks as required by the business

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment required
  • Good attention to detail and ability to identify faults or defects
  • Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on, active role
  • Willingness to learn and undertake ongoing training
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
  • Driving license and own transport preferred
