Our prestigious client, a 2 AA rosette country house hotel is seeking an experienced and proactive Night Manager to take responsibility for the night-time operation of the property. This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning team and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel during overnight hours. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a calm, efficient approach to management.

Duties

  • Supervise and support the night team to ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest standard.
  • Provide a visible and approachable point of contact for guests during the night, dealing promptly with enquiries and resolving any issues.
  • Monitor the safety and security of the hotel overnight, taking appropriate action where needed.
  • Manage staffing matters overnight, including rotas, training, and performance oversight.
  • Liaise with day teams to ensure effective handovers and continuity of service.
  • Maintain accurate records including occupancy levels, incidents, and night audits.
  • Ensure adherence to all hotel policies and procedures.

The Person

  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality or hotel-based role is essential.
  • A confident team leader with the ability to manage, motivate and support staff.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle situations with discretion.
  • Experience with staff training and basic HR responsibilities is advantageous.
  • Multilingual skills are a plus, though not essential.
