About you

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

- Day to day management of operational team, assisting Head of Department and covering responsibilities in the absence of.

- Continuous improvement of the Hubs, GP and shipment margins.

- Compliant creation of shipments (external customers), either individually or via upload template.

- Oversee the day to day brokerage activity, ensuring the team actively fulfil each order / request.

- Ensure transitions of new customers and new volume is done thoroughly and hyper care provided where required.

- Involvement in clustering and pre-procurement alongside strategic planning and procurement.

- Monitor key sites and customers, making sure carriers are providing collection and delivery confirmations within the platform, in line with DigiHaul's SLAs and KPIs.

- Promote the continuous improvement of carrier transparency.

- Provide excellent customer engagement to build relationships, guaranteeing service levels are exceeded whilst promoting shipper web self service.

- Reactive and proactive resolution of real-time customer escalations and operational issues.

- Maintain excellent working relationships with all sites, key stakeholders, suppliers and customers.

- P&L responsibility for transactional activity including operational performance.

- Work closely with the product owners to continuously improve the platform.

- Leading a team and closely monitoring performance to meet business goals and KPIs  (OTIF/SLAs etc).

- Lead and inspire the team to deliver against their personal objectives.

- Management of the team in line with HR guidelines and policies.

- Identify training needs for development of team members and building relationships.

 

What do you need to be a Operations Manager?

- A detailed understanding of the UK&I Transport industry

- Clearly demonstrates positive behaviour and attitude which contributes to the team demonstrating DigiHaul's core values

- Experience in dealing with 3rd party sub contractors

- Transport planning and brokerage experience

- Ability to provide constructive and supportive feedback to peers, customers and carriers

- Experience in management of high performing teams

- Geographical knowledge of the UK&I

- A confident communicator that can demonstrate close attention to detail

- Exposure of HR absence, disciplinary and grievance processes

- Strong data focused approach to determine specific measurable goals
