A1Personnel are currently recruiting for an Operation Manufacturing Manager for a permanent contract on behalf of our client based in Hatfield.

The Operations Manufacturing Manager will oversee all aspects of our production process, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met. You will manage our skilled artisans, implement process improvements, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Oversight: Lead daily jewellery manufacturing operations to meet quality standards and production timelines.

  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor production staff, ensuring a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and safety.

  • Process Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to optimize production workflows and reduce waste.

  • Supplier & Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers for raw materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.

  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, ethical sourcing, and industry-specific compliance standards.

  • Import/Export & Logistics: Oversee logistics related to the import and export of materials and finished goods, coordinating with customs and freight companies as needed.

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and cost targets are met.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field. Jewellery industry experience or specialized training is a plus.

  • Experience: 5+ years in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably within the jewellery industry or other luxury goods sectors.

  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of production processes and techniques.

    • Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

    • Knowledge of ERP systems and CAD/CAM software.

    • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple high-value projects and stakeholders effectively.

Monday to Friday : 7.45am-4.45pm
