We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join a growing engineering team, assembling mechanical and electrical components in line with detailed work instructions and technical drawings. This hands-on role is key to ensuring that final products meet functional requirements, specifications, and high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and experience with hand tools and assembly equipment used in engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components into final products, ensuring quality and accuracy
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly machinery safely and efficiently
- Follow technical drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions
- Inspect assemblies to confirm proper functionality and adherence to standards
- Identify and report defects or issues during the assembly process
- Support the creation and refinement of work instructions
- Recommend process improvements to boost efficiency and quality
- Perform basic maintenance on assembly equipment
- Collaborate with engineers and fellow technicians to achieve production targets
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workstation in line with HSE requirements
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar engineering assembly role
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficient with hand tools, measuring equipment, and light machinery
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
