Join a leading educational institution in West London as a full-time Lecturer in Computing. This role offers an excellent opportunity to impart knowledge and skills required by the computing industry, preparing learners for IT careers, apprenticeships, and higher education.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver a range of Computing courses from Level 2 to Level 5.
- Engage and motivate 16-18 year old students through innovative teaching practices.
- Prepare course materials and plan lessons that meet curriculum objectives.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and curriculum development sessions.
- Assist students in achieving their educational and career goals.
- Degree in a Computing subject.
- Some teaching experience, preferably including delivery of BTEC programmes Level 3 – 5.
- Knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas: Cyber Security and Incident Management, Cloud Storage and Collaboration Tools, IT Service Delivery.
- Experience with at least two of the following tools: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 administration tools, Operating systems (Windows) user management tools, Cisco Packet Tracer or equivalent.
- Strong ability to engage and inspire young learners.
- Teaching qualification is ideal, though support is available for the successful candidate to secure this qualification.
