- Oversee, monitor, and maintain the company’s QA procedures and documentation across all roofing projects.
- Implement and enhance QA procedures through regular audits and inspections, both internally and on-site.
- Verify that quality-related site activities meet the Employer’s Requirements, specifications, and design drawings for each project.
- Develop and review project-specific Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring alignment with system manufacturers' requirements and construction best practices.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 19650 standards, and support BIM-related quality processes as required.
- Work collaboratively with site teams and contractors to resolve ITP comments and align QA requirements with RAMS and main contractor procedures.
- Distribute, collect, and maintain QA and ITP documentation, including proper storage and retention according to project-specific file structures.
- Monitor installation quality and workmanship to reduce defects and snagging, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Lead and contribute to “lessons learned” reviews, feeding insights back to relevant departments.
- Support departmental training efforts by identifying team or individual training needs and assisting with upskilling initiatives.
- Collaborate on environmental and sustainability objectives, including carbon reduction targets, accreditation requirements (e.g., Supply Chain Sustainability School), and Tier 1 compliance.
- Provide regular reporting to the Board of Directors on QA status and performance.
- Assist the Health & Safety team in annual audits for company accreditations.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a roofing or façade company.
- Demonstrable experience managing or leading a QA department or QA functions
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and compliance processes in construction.
- Proven knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Familiarity with UK building regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry QA standards.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
- CSCS Manager Card, First Aid, SMSTS.
- Experience working with BIM-integrated QA systems.
