Long Term Futures is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Hillingdon to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for the new academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in behaviour support, youth work, or pastoral care who is passionate about helping young people thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role

  • Provide consistent one-to-one and small group mentoring for pupils displaying SEMH or challenging behaviours
  • Support students within lessons and during unstructured times such as transitions, break, and lunch
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies to improve focus and engagement
  • Keep accurate records of progress and contribute to behaviour support plans
  • Work alongside teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver a joined-up approach

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people in a behaviour, pastoral, or SEN capacity
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies
  • Calm, empathetic, and consistent approach to supporting young people
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
