Warehouse Manager

Right Now Group are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our client based in Hayes. Reporting to the Airfreight Director, the Warehouse Manager and will be required to maintain strong working relationships with colleagues in the Warehouse and as well as the Operations Teams.

The main purpose of this role is to Oversee and manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. Direct and control the use of warehouse resources ensuring safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods.

SHIFT:

Monday to Friday.

HOURS:

08:00 TO 18:00

SALARY

£55,000

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieve warehouse operational objectives by recommending and reviewing current practices; prepare and complete action plans; resolve problems and identify trends
• Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork to ensure productivity targets are met
• Respond positively to new business opportunities to maximise the potential of the warehouse facility
• Ensure safe operations and adherence to Health and Safety
• Maintain the security of the warehouse
• Comply with aviation security regulations
• Ensure quality and customer service standards are met
• Demonstrate and apply financial and commercial understanding of the business to manage costs and maximise financial return
• Plan the orders for delivery and pickup to meet customer schedules, including staff levels and storage requirements
• Ensure stock takes are completed regularly, and any discrepancies are dealt with and communicated in a timely manner.
• Train and develop the warehouse team, as well as monitor and manage performance.
• Manage the effective use of technology, make suggestions for improvements or developments to streamline processes.
• Produce regular reports and statistics on warehouse performance.
• Ensure the warehouse & yard are kept clean and tidy.
• Work with facilities concerning any building issues.
• Work with the management team to continually improve processes and business performance.
• Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward; and work to achieve personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly.

REQUIREMENTS

• Airfreight / Cargo experience
• Clear DBS
• Full 5 year checkable history
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Warehouse Manager
• Knowledge of aviation security regulations
