The Role:
The Internal Systems Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing, modernising, and optimising the company’s core IT infrastructure. This includes leading the implementation of new technologies, ensuring the reliability and scalability of internal systems, and driving forward digital transformation initiatives that support the company’s continued growth and innovation.
Essential Experience:
- Proven expertise in managing infrastructure across hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud)
- Strong administrative skills in either Windows or Linux (ideally both)
- Solid foundation in networking protocols and technologies, including DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching
- Hands-on experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible
- Confident in supporting and troubleshooting end-user hardware including laptops, tablets, and mobile devices
- Proficient in virtualisation platforms like VMWare or Hyper-V
- Experience administering cloud environments, particularly Azure, O365, or AWS
- A history of successfully delivering infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations
- Comfortable mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of collaboration and growth
