An innovative and forward-thinking accountancy firm based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxford is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their friendly and established accounts team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) who is passionate about providing exceptional service and building strong client relationships.The successful Senior Accountant will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including HNWIs, SMEs, and large corporations, offering strategic advice and hands-on support to help them achieve their business objectives.

Accounts Senior Job Overview

  • Preparation of year end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Assist with the development and training of junior members of the team
  • Liaising with clients on queries, either over the phone, via video call or face to face
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
  • Daily bookkeeping and preparing and filing monthly and quarterly VAT returns under all types of VAT schemes
  • Preparing accounts under FRS 102

Accounts Senior Job Requirements- AAT qualified and a minimum of part-qualified ACA / ACCA - study support available!- A minimum of 2 years hands on experience in a UK based accountancy practice- Hands on, diligent and able to demonstrate excellent client interpersonal skills- Excellent accounts software experience, ideally with CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and Alphatax, Excel, Word and Outlook- Based locally to Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

Accounts Senior Salary & Benefits

  • £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on skills and experience
  • Early mid-afternoon finish every Friday!
  • Full ACA/ACCA study support if required
