Are you a flexible and dependable teacher ready to make a positive impact?
A well-respected secondary school in Hereford is seeking a motivated and adaptable General Cover Teacher to join their team. This full-time role involves covering lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 on an ongoing basis, providing vital support to maintain student progress during staff absences.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver lessons across a variety of subjects at KS3 and KS4 following provided plans
Manage classrooms effectively to maintain a positive learning environment
Engage students and support their academic progress during cover lessons
Promote good behaviour and ensure student safety at all times
Liaise with regular teaching staff and school leadership to ensure continuity
Keep accurate records of attendance and report any issues promptly
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent preferred, but not essential
Experience working with secondary students (KS3 and KS4) desirable
Excellent classroom management skills
Ability to adapt quickly and teach across different subjects confidently
Strong communication and organisational skills
Current DBS check or willingness to obtain one
Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
Typical school hours, approximately 8:30am - 3:30pm
