This is a hands-on role focused on crop performance, quality, and continuity of supply. You'll work closely with the Farm Manager and wider team to manage day-to-day growing operations, support harvest teams, and ensure production targets are met efficiently and sustainably.

  • Monitor crop health and progress through regular field walking

  • Work closely with agronomy and fertiliser partners to deliver spray and fert plans

  • Schedule irrigation and oversee the seasonal irrigation team

  • Provide accurate crop forecasts to the commercial team

Harvest Operations

  • Manage a harvest team of around 100 seasonal workers and 13 tractor drivers (with support from a dedicated Harvest Manager)

  • Ensure all health, safety, and food safety standards are upheld

  • Monitor team performance and working hours during harvest

  • Support with seasonal staff accommodation and general team welfare

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in crop management, from planting through to harvest

  • Strong communication and team leadership skills

  • Understanding of irrigation systems and scheduling

  • A proactive approach to health & safety and compliance

  • Confident using Microsoft Office; experience with Gatekeeper or similar software is a bonus

  • BASIS and/or FACTS qualifications are advantageous but not essential

Why Apply?

  • You'll have real responsibility and ownership over a significant part of the business

  • Work within a knowledgeable and supportive team

  • Be part of a respected grower supplying the UK's leading supermarkets

  • Join a business that combines deep farming roots with modern, forward-thinking operations

If you're motivated by producing high-quality crops, enjoy working in the field, and are ready to step into a key role in a well-established farming business, we'd love to hear from you.
