Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SQL Server databases, following Microsoft best practices
- Optimise, monitor, and secure database performance
- Extract and deliver business-critical data, generating reports via Microsoft SSRS and Power BI
- Enhance existing SQL code, stored procedures, and core business database objects
- Support and develop applications with C and VB.net; troubleshoot and resolve bugs
- Provide 3rd line and on-call support for systems and data issues
- Advise on best practice in business systems and management information; proactively deliver reporting solutions
Key Skills & Requirements
- Professional experience managing and optimising SQL Server databases
- Strong data extraction, reporting, and troubleshooting skills (Power BI, SSRS)
- Solid experience with C and VB.net for systems support and development
- Excellent customer focus and proactive problem-solving abilities
- Desirable: Awareness of business systems market trends, best practice, and experience working with custom, business-critical applications
