Specialist Support | SEMH & ASD | Long-Term Opportunity

Are you motivated, caring and ready to make a real impact in a specialist school environment? Academics Ltd is working with an excellent school in Herne Bay that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and Autism (ASD). They are looking for a confident and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Assisting with learning activities and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to create specific learning plans catered to individual pupils.
  • Providing tailored support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs.
  • Support students with SEMH and ASD across the classroom and in tailord intervention sessions.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a SEMH/ASD background.
  • Passion, empathy and desire for working with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • A strong communicator who is able to work collaboratively with staff and pupils.
  • A willingness to learn and grow.
  • Experienced OR Aspiring to be a SEN Teaching Assistant

** Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students

** 90 - 100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only

** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
