Academics Canterbury is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly respected Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Whitstable.
This exceptional school specialises in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and
Mental Health (SEMH) needs and is committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting with learning activities and fostering a positive learning environment
- Work closely with teaching staff to create specific learning plans catered to individual pupils
- Maintain a positive attitude that will motivate the children you work with
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting/ SEMH background
- Passion, empathy and desire for working with children with Special Educational Needs
- A strong communicator who is able to work collaboratively with staff and pupils
- A willingness to learn and grow
- Experience or aspiring SEN Teaching Assistant
** Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
** 90 - 100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
