About the Role
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading acoustic engineering specialist, now seeking an experienced Senior CAD Designer to join their dynamic Design team in Hertford. This is a hands-on, senior-level opportunity where you'll lead design projects, support product innovation, and mentor junior colleagues while playing a key role in the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out dimensional site surveys across the UK and Europe.
Produce GA drawings as well as detailed manufacturing and installation drawings.
Collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
Lead the development of acoustic products using 2D AutoCAD.
Ensure all designs are compliant with relevant standards and optimised for manufacturing efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience working with sheet metal or structural steel manufacturing.
Strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD (knowledge of Autodesk Inventor/Revit is a plus).
Solid understanding of installation practices.
Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe (full UK driving licence essential).
The Benefits
Competitive salary of 50,000 - 60,000, depending on experience.
