Part-Time PE Teacher - asap start - Hertford

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a thriving, Ofsted 'Good' Secondary School in Hertford on a part-time, interim basis. This role is to start as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year in July 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to a supportive and energetic PE department committed to promoting student wellbeing, teamwork, and achievement through sport and physical activity.

As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. There may also be opportunities to support extra-curricular sport for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Promote participation, skill development, and teamwork across a range of physical activities
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Support whole-school sports events and extra-curricular opportunities where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • UK teaching experience in Physical Education
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
  • Passion for PE and student development
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
