An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a leading international group. This is a senior finance role with responsibility for financial reporting, internal controls, and commercial decision support for the UK business.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, lead a small finance team, and partner with business units to deliver accurate management information, support strategic planning, and ensure robust processes are in place. This position offers a blend of operational responsibility, commercial involvement, and leadership within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The Role

  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management reports with analysis and commentary
  • Oversee ledger reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis
  • Manage effective accounts receivable and payable processes across multiple brands and geographies
  • Lead quarterly reforecasts, annual budgets, and multi-year planning in collaboration with commercial teams
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, ensuring compliance with group policies and audit requirements
  • Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and process improvements with a focus on automation
  • Support statutory and tax compliance, including corporation tax and VAT
  • Partner with management teams to evaluate investment opportunities and business change projects
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the UK finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Proven track record as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader within a multinational environment
  • Experience in manufacturing or similar industry advantageous
  • Skilled in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing abilities
  • Proficient in ERP systems (experience with Oracle Netsuite desirable) and advanced Excel skills
  • Commercially minded with strong problem-solving capabilities
