Junior CNC Operator

Vanta Staffing High Wycombe are looking for a Junior CNC Operator to work for a well-established distributer in High Wycombe. You will be supporting the Senior CNC Operator in producing their products. This role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset who is keen to develop their skills in CNC programming, material planning, and hands-on machine operation.

Job Title: Junior CNC Operator
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: GBP26,000 - GBP30,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 8am - 3.30pm


Key Responsibilities of the CNC Operator:

· Assist the Senior CNC Operator with writing and editing CNC programmes using AutoCAD.
· Plan material usage for CNC programmes to minimise waste and improve efficiency.
· Load and unload CNC machines safely and efficiently.
· Operate CNC equipment to manufacture foam products in line with order specifications.
· Ensure the correct programmes are used when operating CNC machinery.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with Health & Safety policy and ISO 9001 standards.
· Report any equipment issues to the Senior CNC Operator or Team Leader promptly.
· Support with assembly tasks when CNC operations are not required.
· Undertake any other reasonable tasks to support production needs.

Requirements of the CNC Operator:

· Some experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software (training can be provided for the right candidate).
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Willingness to learn and develop under the guidance of the Senior CNC Operator.
· A proactive and reliable approach to work.
