This role involves working on innovative electronic and electrical circuit designs for new product development projects, focusing on areas such as DALI driver design, Bluetooth interface communication devices, and more. Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Design PCBs for integration into new and existing systems, including various control modules and communication devices.
  • Select components for circuit designs and maintain accurate records.
  • Set up long-term testing of new products, continually evaluating performance and capability.
  • Train Commissioning Engineers on products and manage in-house and field testing of new product developments (NPDs).
  • Ensure electronics design complies with specific regulations and standards (e.g., EMC, LVD).
  • Manage R&D lab, organise prototypes, and maintain high standards in documentation and product testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience in designing and testing electronic circuits, ideally within lighting control systems or similar fields.
  • Proficiency in creating PCB schematics, component selection, and layout design.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as EMC and LVD.
  • Experience with software or firmware testing in embedded systems is advantageous.
