Our client, an award winning engineering company based in High Wycombe, is looking for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join them. This is a brand new role for the business and is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly successful and growing business.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of warehouse management, including a strong understanding of stock control and inventory management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the building and stock. The role will also require a high level of communication and organisational skills with primary responsibilities to manage a team of Goods In and Goods Out personnel.

Ideally, you will be educated to degree level with experience in a similar role.

£40k - £50k depending on skills and experience plus benefits.

Key Duties

  • Oversee the arrival of materials from suppliers - both overseas and local
  • Oversee the checking, booking in and storing of materials
  • Create and implement storage locations
  • Oversee the wrapping and strapping of finished goods ready for despatch
  • Co-ordinate finished goods ready for despatch
  • Co-ordinate storage and transportation of goods (UK & Export)
  • Manage daily despatch requests
  • Produce Packing Lists & Commercial Invoices
  • Be accountable for the movement of all materials between internal storage locations tracking all using Sage 200 software
  • Implement and manage daily rotational stock counts
  • Manage full and concise end of year physical stock count of all materials
  • Manage stock levels of all fixtures and fittings, replenishing with local suppliers to meet company demand
  • Purchasing of PPE, tools, fixings, and other consumables required by installation / production / commissioning departments
  • Resolving delivery and invoice discrepancies

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Builds rapport and can develop strong relationships with partners and internal teams
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Results orientated
  • Responsible and reliable individual
  • Proficient with SAGE or an equivalent warehouse software system
  • Able to work effectively as part of team and to nurture co workers
  • Highly numerate and creative with numbers, accounts minded
