Are you an experienced Customer Service, Administrator or Project Co-ordinator, who thrives in a team-oriented environment? We're working with one of the UK's leading specialist publishing companies to recruit a versatile and detail-oriented professional, to support all aspects of the book publishing process.

Role Overview

As Publishing Project Co-ordinator, you'll play a vital role across various areas, including author support, book production, customer service, sales, marketing, and warehouse coordination. This position demands exceptional communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Administration:

  • Serve as the primary contact for authors, updating them on progress and release timelines
  • Coordinate with designers, proofreaders, and printers to ensure timely book production
  • Handle customer inquiries, process orders, and address feedback

Sales & Marketing:

  • Develop marketing materials and manage social media posts on new releases
  • Send out review copies and manage advertising in magazines and journals
  • Assist in organizing and attending up to 8 industry shows per year

Shipping & Warehouse:

  • Manage consumer and trade orders, including postage and courier services -
  • Organize warehouse layouts and oversee inventory at two locations (some lifting required)

What You'll Bring:

  • A solid background in office administration, customer service, or project co-ordination.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and social media platforms (especially Facebook)
  • A strong organisational ability
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • Ideally, some experience of paid marketing (Google Ads)
