Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable history teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate would be passionate about the history of the world and how it has shaped life and practices today, keeping students engaged throughout lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies.
  • Participate in school activities and events.
  • Build positive relations with each class to encourage engagement.
  • Communicate with parents about behaviour if necessary and on parent’s evenings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching history at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
