Are you ready for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people, especially those at risk of exploitation? We’re offering a unique opportunity to join our brand-new Contextual Safeguarding Home, as a Senior Residential Support Worker.

�? About the Service

This home is a nurturing and specialist home supporting children and young people aged 8-18 who are at risk of harm outside of the family environment. The home provides short-term placements with a focus on early intervention, safety, and emotional wellbeing. With space for up to three young people at a time, the service offers a calm, stable setting where they can build friendships, gain confidence, and develop key life skills. Other homes may need your assistance sometimes across our other residential services located in Hinckley, Coalville, Syston, and Market Harborough.

?? Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, trusting relationships that support each young person’s development and wellbeing
  • Support and guide Residential Support Workers in daily duties and shift leadership
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and effective communication with professionals and families
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment at all times
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and act swiftly to protect vulnerable young people
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the home, including domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning

?? About You

? Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)? Minimum 1 year’s experience in a supervisory or shift leader role in a residential setting? Experience working with children and young people, ideally those facing contextual safeguarding risks? Confident understanding of safeguarding procedures? Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays? Full UK driving licence required? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
