Are you a nurturing and resilient individual passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Aspire People are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a fantastic school in Hinckley. The successful candidate will be working with children aged 0-16 years, providing tailored 1:1 and small group support, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
What You'll Be Doing:
Offering 1:1 and small group support to children with a variety of SEN needs, including ASD, Dyslexia, and Emotional and Social Difficulties.
Assisting with implementing tailored learning plans and supporting individual academic and personal growth.
Providing support both inside the classroom and during outdoor activities, break times, and school outings.
Helping students with personal care needs when necessary, while maintaining their dignity and independence.
Encouraging positive behaviour and assisting with classroom management.
Collaborating closely with teachers and other staff to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs, is beneficial but not essential.
A positive, patient, and flexible approach to working with students who may require additional support.
Strong communication skills and the ability to form trusting, supportive relationships with children and colleagues.
The ability to adapt quickly and be proactive in providing support both in the classroom and outside of it.
A team player with a genuine desire to help children with SEN reach their full potential.
