We are seeking dedicated SEND Tutors to join our team in Hertfordshire. This role involves supporting students with complex needs on a 1:1 basis, either at the child's home or in a public setting such as a library. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of students requiring special educational support.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored educational support to students with complex needs on a 1:1 basis.
  • Plan and prepare sessions that cater to the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
  • Conduct tutoring sessions in various settings, including the student’s home or public locations like libraries.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress, adapting teaching methods and materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to maximise student learning and development.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment during each session.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • DBS on the update service is essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with special educational needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and other educators.
  • Ability to plan and organise effectively, with attention to detail.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
