Due to further expansion, an established material handling business has a newly created opportunity for a Service Engineer to join the team in the Barnsley and Leeds area. You will be working with a friendly team and working on some interesting equipment. This business prides itself on having a friendly, supportive culture with opportunities for training and progression.
Responsibilities of the Service Engineer
- Servicing and repair of trucks as directed by the Service Manager.
- Diagnosing the exact nature of each query and repair with a friendly, efficient, 'can-do' attitude.
- Completing a report for each job on a PDA system.
Requirements of the role:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant, Maintenance or Vehicle - Preferably Apprentice trained
- Experienced Service Engineer in the MHE Industry
- Full UK Driving License
- Good at managing own workload and able to cope with pressure.
- Present a professional image - be trustworthy, punctual and polite.
- Good team player.
In return the Service Engineer will be offered the following package.
- Door to Door payments after 30minuites
- Van - Personal use, first 50 personal miles free then 19p per mile
- Contracted 40-hour week, OT paid at one and a half Monday to Saturday and double time Sundays
- 100 on call pay with a minimum of 4hrs pay when called out.
- Referral Scheme: 1000 paid out when they start and a further 1000 after 12 months of employment.
