Our client, an established and growing engineering company based in Hook, is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to join their team as part of their continued expansion. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure the efficient handling of goods and materials. This hands-on role that involves overseeing stock control, coordinating logistics, and maintaining high standards of organisation, accuracy, and safety.

Warehouse Coordinator - About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods
  • Perform regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries in collaboration with logistics providers and couriers
  • Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organised, and compliant with H&S regulations
  • Carry out quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods
  • Update stock movements and manage orders using ERP and inventory systems
  • Work closely with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfilment
  • Support lean warehousing practices and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Prepare delivery documentation, shipping labels, and handle returns processes
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks safely (training provided if needed)
  • Manage waste and recycling procedures in line with company policy
  • Ensure adherence to all company procedures and relevant warehouse legislation

The successful Warehouse Coordinator will have/be:

  • Several years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain coordination role
  • Solid understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management systems, and stock control procedures
  • Understanding of lean warehousing and continuous improvement practices
  • Familiarity with international shipping and export documentation
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in a warehouse environment
  • Proficient in stock management systems, ERP platforms, Excel and Word
  • A forklift truck licence and warehousing and storage qualifications would be beneficial
  • Must have the right to work in the UK without restrictions
