Our client, an established and growing engineering company based in Hook, is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to join their team as part of their continued expansion. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure the efficient handling of goods and materials. This hands-on role that involves overseeing stock control, coordinating logistics, and maintaining high standards of organisation, accuracy, and safety.
Warehouse Coordinator - About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods
- Perform regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations
- Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries in collaboration with logistics providers and couriers
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organised, and compliant with H&S regulations
- Carry out quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods
- Update stock movements and manage orders using ERP and inventory systems
- Work closely with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfilment
- Support lean warehousing practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare delivery documentation, shipping labels, and handle returns processes
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks safely (training provided if needed)
- Manage waste and recycling procedures in line with company policy
- Ensure adherence to all company procedures and relevant warehouse legislation
The successful Warehouse Coordinator will have/be:
- Several years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain coordination role
- Solid understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management systems, and stock control procedures
- Understanding of lean warehousing and continuous improvement practices
- Familiarity with international shipping and export documentation
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in a warehouse environment
- Proficient in stock management systems, ERP platforms, Excel and Word
- A forklift truck licence and warehousing and storage qualifications would be beneficial
- Must have the right to work in the UK without restrictions
