The Opportunity We're working with well-established specialist contracting businesses operating in structural waterproofing and premium wetroom installation. They are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team and manage the financial and contractual aspects of projects from inception through to completion.

This role is ideal for up-and-coming Quantity Surveyors with 3 or more years' experience looking to take ownership of projects, or commercial professionals eager to develop their career in contract and cost management. You will play a key role in ensuring project profitability, controlling costs, managing cash flow, and delivering accurate financial reporting across multiple schemes.

You will join a supportive, close-knit commercial team working alongside estimators, project managers, and operational teams to ensure smooth project delivery and strong financial performance. Projects range in complexity and scale, requiring attention to detail, commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate contractual obligations confidently.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up new contracts and manage all financial aspects from start to finish.
- Prepare and submit payment applications, manage variations and compensation events.
- Forecast cash flow, monitor costs and margins, and provide accurate reporting to support decision-making.
- Negotiate subcontract agreements, payment terms, and final account settlements.
- Liaise with operational teams, site staff, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Attend site visits, pre-start meetings, and support complex tenders.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements across the business.
- 3+ years' experience in a commercial or Quantity Surveyor role with responsibility for project financial performance.
- Relevant degree / BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- Strong commercial awareness, numeracy, and experience with cost management and valuations.
- Ability to interpret drawings, manage subcontractors, and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills.
- Professional, detail-oriented, resilient, and commercially astute.
- Salary circa £50,000, dependent on experience.

- Eligibility for the Group Annual Bonus Scheme (up to 3% of salary).
