Portfolio Payroll are partnered with a well-established accountancy who are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join them on a permanent basis.
This is a sole role. The focus will be on taking ownership for the while payroll function however, in more quiet periods of the month you will be assisting with bookkeeping and other ad hoc tasks
Responsibilities will include:
- Take full responsibility for managing all aspects of clients payroll
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing, including starters, leavers, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.), holiday pay, and pension contributions
- Ensure full compliance with HMRC
- Administer auto enrolment duties and lease with pension providers
- Keep up to date with legislation and any changes
- Perform bookkeeping duties including data entry & bank reconciliation
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Communicate with clients via email and phone where required
