Make a Real Difference in Neurorehabilitation

A specialist neurorehabilitation service in Horsham is looking for a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join their experienced multidisciplinary team. The service supports adults with acquired brain injuries in a residential setting, helping them regain lost skills and achieve meaningful recovery.

You’ll work alongside a committed team of rehabilitation support workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and fellow SaLTs – all focused on providing expert, person-centred care.

The Role

As a Senior Specialist SaLT, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working autonomously within the MDT
  • Assessing and managing communication and swallowing needs
  • Supporting individuals and their social networks to overcome barriers
  • Developing communication and dysphagia management plans
  • Delivering training to staff and families
  • Contributing to service and organisational development

About You

You’ll need:

  • A degree in Speech & Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Dysphagia competencies
  • Specialist knowledge in ABI-related communication interventions
  • Experience managing complex dysphagia within adult neurology
  • At least 4 years post-qualification experience with complex cases
