Arora Group is recruitig for experienced Management Accountant with Construction Industry background. This role will be the Finance Business Partner for Grove Developments and Grove Facilities Management, Arora Group’s construction and maintenance divisions.

This role is fully office based (5 days per week) role at the Arora Group head office on Bath Road in Heathrow Area.

The role is responsible for accurately maintaining financial records and monthly management accounts, preparing weekly cash flow forecasts and managing VAT and CIS compliance. The role involves facilitating the external audit and preparing the statutory accounts. As a key member of the Group Finance team, the Finance Manager will drive process improvement, efficiencies and business transformation through the development and implementation of new reporting, procedures, policies and controls.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as the Finance Business Partner for Grove Developments and Grove Facilities Management.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of each development project and major maintenance contract.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key members of Grove Developments and Grove Facilities Management.
  • Accurately maintain all financial records for the construction and maintenance entities including completion of the monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Analyse project costs, prepare monthly cost reconciliations and maintain retention schedules.
  • Actively manage the intercompany cost recharge process including overseeing billing and quarterly capex reporting for intercompany counterparties.
  • Oversee accounts payable process including ensuring correct VAT and CIS status.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns and review quarterly CIS reconciliations.
  • Manage the cash funding requirement of the construction division and prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.
  • Manage the external audit process for the construction and maintenance entities.
  • Prepare the statutory accounts under FRS 102.
  • Proactively lead the business in its upcoming adoption of the principles of IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition
  • Develop new reporting templates, policies, procedures, controls and manage their implementation.
  • Play an active role in the business transformation and be an advocate for change and improvement.

Skills & Experiences

  • Full Qualified Accountant, ACA or ACCA with 2+ years PQE
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics finance package is advantageous
  • Experience in management accounting and reporting in the construction industry including the understand of the construction industry scheme
  • Exposure to overseas entity reporting and relevant contract tax (desired, not essential)
  • Experience in statutory audit and reporting
  • Experience with IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition is advantageous
  • Experience reviewing and analysing data with excellent attention to detail
  • Organised and methodical with strong time management and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills both in writing and orally with experience business partnering and managing stakeholders
  • Curious with skills in problem solving and process improvement
  • Comfortable working under pressure, takes pride in their own work and is confident delivering responsibilities with minimum supervision
  • A team player who is helpful, enthusiastic and able to work well with others
