We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our school in Hounslow, starting in September 2025. This is a Year 6 teaching role, available as a full-time or part-time position, and is a 1-year contract. It is an ideal opportunity for an ECT looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment while making a lasting impact on the academic and personal development of Year 6 students.
About the Role:
As a Year 6 teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a vibrant class of students preparing for their transition to secondary school. You will deliver engaging lessons, help students prepare for their end-of-year assessments, and support their personal and academic growth. This role will provide you with the chance to work within a nurturing school environment, with guidance and mentorship to help you develop your teaching practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum.

Prepare students for their Key Stage 2 SATs and transition to secondary school, providing targeted support to ensure every student succeeds.

Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents and carers.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards and a love of learning.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and high standards in teaching and learning across the school.

Participate in school events, professional development opportunities, and contribute to the overall development of the school community.
The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

An Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a passion for working with Year 6 students and preparing them for their next educational steps.

Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and Key Stage 2 assessments.
