Passionate Classics Teacher Wanted in Hounslow! Academic Secondary School
Location: Hounslow Role: Classics Teacher (Latin and/or Ancient History) (Full-Time, Permanent)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Classics lessons (potentially focusing on Latin and/or Ancient History) across Key Stages 3-4, and potentially A-Level.
- Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of classical languages, literature, history, and culture within an academic environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Classics curriculum.
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Classics.
- Potentially contribute to extracurricular classics clubs or trips.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Classics, Latin, and/or Ancient History.
- Degree in Classics, Ancient History, Latin, Greek, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Classics at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
- Strong subject knowledge of classical languages, literature, history, and culture.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make classical subjects engaging and accessible within an academic framework.
- A commitment to fostering a love of classical civilizations and their enduring relevance within a brilliant and encouraging setting.
