About the Job
This is a hands-on temporary HR position (which could go permanent), supporting a busy HR function. Reporting directly to the HR Business Partner, you will provide day-to-day HR guidance and play a vital role in generalist activities, including some ER, across operational teams.
Duties will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries from employees and managers
- Supporting and advising line managers on 1 st stage employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management processes
- Taking ownership of initial investigations and conducting first-stage disciplinary meetings independently
- Coordinating recruitment activity including arranging interviews and liaising with candidates
- Providing HR administrative support including onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintaining HR records and updating the HR system accurately and in a timely manner
- Supporting policy development and implementation, ensuring compliance with employment legislation
About the Successful Applicant
You will have experience in a similar HR role and be confident handling employee relations matters from initial queries to formal meetings. Ideally CIPD-qualified (or working towards), you will possess strong communication skills, a pragmatic approach, and a good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
