Role Responsibilities- Leading audit engagements across a broad range of sectors
- Planning and executing audits, including risk assessments, testing, and reporting
- Preparing statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, reviewing their work, and supporting their development
- Acting as a main point of contact for clients during assignments
- Liaising with managers and partners on audit findings and client communications
- Ensuring all work is completed within deadlines and to high technical standards
This role involves leading audit assignments from planning through to completion and working directly with a variety of clients, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, charities, and professional service firms. You'll work closely with partners and managers to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Candidate Requirements- ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist level), with a strong audit background in practice
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in external audit
- Sound technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and FRS 102
- Experience leading audits from planning through to completion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organised, detail-oriented, and confident in managing workloads and deadlines
- A team player who enjoys coaching and supporting junior colleagues
- £42,000 to £52,000 per annum
