Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their Finance Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with insightful financial reporting and analysis.

Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
A recognised Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent); part-qualified candidates may also be considered
Manufacturing industry experience is essential; contract accounting experience is highly desirable
Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems and ERP platforms
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
A proactive attitude and a desire to develop and progress within the finance function

Salary:

40,000 - 50,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger management
Prepare and review monthly management accounts
Provide strong technical accounting input and ensure compliance with international financial standards
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Develop and improve financial controls, systems, and procedures
Support the development and standardisation of consolidated reporting processes
Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements
Prepare annual statutory accounts and supporting documentation for audit purposes
