Description
- Oversee all transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Liaise with suppliers to manage stock efficiently.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise supply chain processes.
- Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries or issues related to transport services.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of transport activities within overall business operations.
- Utilise IT systems, including Outlook and Word, to manage schedules, documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including vehicle maintenance and compliance checks.
- Train and supervise staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance within the transport team.
Profile
- Proven experience in logistics or transport management.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in IT applications such as Outlook and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within a fast-paced environment.
- CPC Transport Manager Qualification.
- Experience with hazardous chemicals is a huge bonus but not essential
