Our client a dynamic and innovative manufacturing business, committed driving excellence throughout the shop floor whilst implementing continuous improvement are looking to appoint a maintenance engineer. The successful maintenance engineer will be experienced within a manufacturing setting and have the ability to work to a planned maintenance schedule and on a reactive basis.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of manufacturing equipment focusing on electrical systems
- Diagnose electrical faults and minimize down time maintaining production efficiencies
- Support the mechanical engineers as and when required
- Work closely with the production team to identify and implement improvements
- Ensure a high level of health and safety is maintained, always.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 HNC or equivalent in electrical engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including PLCs, motors, inverters and control panels.
- Basic mechanical systems understanding
- Proactive problem solver
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
