Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator - Huddersfield - Restaurant/ Hospitality Fit-Out

Salary Bracket: 40-60k, Plus Car Allowance & Annual Bonus ( Paid in December)

Are you a quantity surveyor who has experience in the restaurant and hospitality space, and is in the market for a new permanent role?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well regarded restaurant/ hospitality fit-out contractor who are looking to hire a new Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator to join their commercial team on a permanent basis.

Due to a strong order book for 2025 , and the retirement of a long-standing member of the team, the contractor is looking for someone to start as soon as they are ready.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cost control, monitoring, and reporting for high-end fit-out projects within the bar, leisure, and restaurant sectors.
  • Take on estimating responsibilities, including pricing projects, preparing tenders, and assisting with bid submissions.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert guidance on project costs.
  • Write and manage bespoke schedules of works tailored to the unique needs of each client and project.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure that works are carried out according to budget, quality, and schedule.
  • Provide cost-effective solutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of the projects while maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Provide detailed cost reports to senior management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial performance of projects.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Recent experience of managing commercial aspects of restaurant/hospitalityfit-out projects
  • Experience in pricing restaurant/ hospitality projects
  • Experience in joinery projects or a background in joinery would be ideal.

  • Excellent commercial acumen and contract management skills.

  • Ability to manage budgets and deliver projects within financial constraints
