Job Title: PA

Job description: Venn Group have been approached by a Local Authority in East Yorkshire to recruit a PA. This is initially a temporary contract which can go Permanent. The Personal Assistant (PA) will provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the Chief Executive. The role requires professionalism, political awareness, and the ability to manage a dynamic and fast-moving workload. The PA will be a trusted gatekeeper and a key point of coordination between the Chief Executive, senior leaders, elected officials, and external partners.

Duties:

  • Manage the Chief Executive’s diary, correspondence, and communications with professionalism and discretion.
  • Arrange and coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring efficient planning and briefing materials are prepared.
  • Draft, proofread, and coordinate responses to correspondence, reports, presentations and briefings.
  • Support the Chief Executive in managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and following up on key actions.
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders including Government departments, local authorities, business leaders, and elected members.
  • Organise travel, accommodation and logistical arrangements.
  • Assist in the coordination of Board meetings, sub-committees, and partnership forums.
  • Maintain confidentiality and operate with integrity and sound judgement at all times.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the Executive Office and support broader governance and operational processes where required.

The successful candidate will be required to attend the office 5 days a week and must have experience in a political setting.

Hourly Rate: Negotiable
