As demand grows, we are expanding our field team and seeking a motivated Electrical Improver to support our engineers on installation and maintenance projects.

Role Overview
As an Electrical Improver, you will assist with the safe installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of commercial solar PV and battery systems. Under the supervision of qualified electricians and O&M engineers, you will gain valuable practical experience and be part of delivering clean energy solutions to businesses across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems.
- Support operations and maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and system checks.
- Work on battery storage systems under supervision, assisting with connections and testing.
- Help set up site access, tools, and safety equipment for site visits.
- Carry out basic troubleshooting and assist in diagnosing faults.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and assist in preparing site reports.
- Follow all health & safety policies and attend toolbox talks and training sessions.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Some formal electrical training (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Installation or currently enrolled).
- ECS or CSCS card.
- A strong interest in renewable energy and electrical work.
- Ability to work at height and in various outdoor environments.
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight on occasion.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
Desirable
- Experience assisting on solar PV or electrical installation sites.
- Working towards 18th Edition qualification.
- Basic understanding of electrical components (e.g., DC cabling, inverters, isolators).
- PASMA, IPAF, or working at height training.
