Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Mechanical Engineering Lecturer:
As an Engineering Lecturer, you’ll deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences to apprentices and adult learners. This role is primarily classroom-based, guiding learners through topics such as:

  • Mechanical principles & engineering maths.
  • Engineering science & design.
  • Fluid mechanics & CAD.
  • Health & safety and lean manufacturing.
  • Professional engineering management.
  • Production engineering.
  • Quality and process improvements.
  • Supervising level 3 & 4 engineering projects and level 5 research projects.

Skills and Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineering Lecturer:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Significant industry experience.
  • Strong technical and IT skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and developing others.
  • Teaching experience is not required as full training and support will be provided.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
  • All successful candidates must pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
