Job Description: Account Manager

Location: Hull Office
Hours: Full-Time (Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 17:00)
Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an Account Manager to oversee and nurture relationships with UK and international clients for a leading sustainable solutions provider. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth order processing, timely deliveries, and exceptional customer satisfaction, while acting as the key liaison between clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with UK and international clients.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all account-related queries.

Order & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Manage and process client orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Confirm order details including specifications, quantities, delivery dates, and pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements.

Production & Logistics Support

  • Monitor demand and lead times, collaborating with production teams.
  • Liaise with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure cost-effective, timely shipments.
  • Prepare customs paperwork for smooth import/export processes.

Customer Communication

  • Provide proactive updates on order status and delivery schedules.
  • Handle enquiries, feedback, and complaints with a customer-first approach.

Sales & Office Support

  • Assist with quotes, proposals, and contracts.
  • Support general office tasks, including greeting visitors and handling phone enquiries.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in account management or sales administration, ideally with export/import operations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Familiarity with customs regulations and shipping processes.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and proactive attitude.
