English Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time English Teacher based in Hull, starting 18th June and lasting until at least Christmas 2025 This is a temporary position to cover a maternity and as such it may increase in the future depending on the length of maternity taken. Payment for this position will be in line with the main teaching pay scale, between £31,650 and £49084 (this may change if pay scales increase in the new academic year). There is the potential for this role to be made part time, so if you are a candidate available on a part time basis, please do still get in touch.

This role will involve teaching English to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. There is potential for some Drama teaching on the timetable if this is of interest to the successful candidate Full planning and marking is expected for this role, but there is a robust bank of resources available for the successful candidate, making planning requirements minimal.

Located in Hull, this school is easily accessed via car or via public transport. There is a large onsite car park for candidates who do drive. This school has an excellent reputation in the local area, and is part of a small, local, academy trust. Success in this role can open up roles within other local secondary and primary schools within the local area.

  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience supporting within UK schools
  • Has experience teaching English to Key Stage 4
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
