Position: SEND Support Assistant
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire

Salary: £90 – £125 per day

TeacherActive is working alongside a warm and inclusive special educational needs school in Hull, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. We’re looking to appoint a SEND Support Assistant to join the team on a flexible, supply basis. You’ll be supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs — offering one-to-one and small group assistance to help them access learning and develop essential life skills.

This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about making a lasting impact and gaining valuable hands-on experience within specialist education settings.

We’re interested in hearing from individuals who have supported learners with:

• Autism (ASC)

• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

• Severe or Profound Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD)

• ADHD or related behavioural needs

• Challenging or dysregulated behaviours

• Has experience within a SEND or alternative provision environment

• Can confidently support across different age groups and Key Stages

• Remains calm, patient and understanding in all situations

• Uses effective strategies for managing behaviour positively

• Builds meaningful, supportive relationships with pupils and staff alike

• Brings empathy, flexibility and enthusiasm to every task

• A supportive and knowledgeable consultant team available around the clock
