GSL Education is proud to be working in partnership with one of our valued client schools in Hull, providing continued support into the new academic year. Due to several of our long-standing Teaching Assistants moving on to further their studies, we are now seeking four committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join the team from September.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Assisting in the implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
Collaborating with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure effective and inclusive support.
Promoting a positive, nurturing learning environment that supports every student’s potential.
Monitoring and recording student progress, and liaising with teachers and parents when appropriate.

We are looking for candidates who:

Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in one-to-one settings.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Are empathetic, patient, and passionate about supporting students with diverse needs.
Understand safeguarding and child protection procedures and uphold the highest standards of care.

Please note: This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection. All successful applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and must be registered on the Update Service.
